Budget Properties
This may be an older apartment, typically with smaller square footage, with 1 or 2 bathrooms. Amenities generally include A/C, dishwasher, and on-site laundry facilities.
Basic Properties
A mix of amenities and square footage. Some older and some newer communities with varying amenities. Kitchens usually equipped with dishwashers; on-site laundry, A/C, & patio/balcony.
Moderate Properties
Typically, a better mix of amenities and square footage for the price. May be newer communities with a nice amenities package. Modern kitchens usually equipped with full-sized appliances, dishwashers, on-site laundry, A/C, patio/balcony, & pool.
Premium Properties
Tend to be higher-end or newer properties with a complete amenities package and larger floor plans. Almost all have modern kitchens equipped with full-sized appliances, dishwashers & some with built-in microwaves, on-site laundry, A/C, larger closets, patio/balcony, pool, sports courts & more.
Premium Plus Properties
Tend to be a newer community with close proximity to the school. Modern kitchens, central air, patio/balcony, swimming pool, & more.
You can choose from up to 5 pricing categories, with most properties offering shared bedrooms and common living areas with fellow students. In some cases, private bedroom options are available, providing the privacy of your own room while still sharing the living space with roommates. Please note that none of our shared housing options include private bathrooms.

FEES
The $50 Application Fee is non-refundable. The $180 Program Service Fee is refundable up to 30 days before your originally scheduled move-in date. A security deposit is not required with an approved lease guarantor.

1 student per bedroom. Limited availability to select communities. Does not include a private bathroom.

No smoking or vaping inside ANY CHS room or shared apartment. Some apartment complexes have no smoking facilities, even outdoors.

Can I Choose Exactly Where I Live?
Not necessarily. These are examples of properties that fall within your selected pricing category. CHS will match you to available housing in that tier.
What Does My Monthly Housing Payment Cover?
Each resident receives an individual lease with CHS that covers the following:
- Your monthly housing program costs
- Utilities with a generous monthly allowance
- A basic furniture package
- Roommate coordination
Your monthly housing program costs allow you to be able to:
- Tailor your lease to accommodate your graduation date
- Not pay extra rent if a roommate leaves
- Transfer to another apartment inside the Shared Housing Program if you choose.
Your monthly housing payment also provides resident life social programs, as well as Resident Assistants in most markets.
I Am Paying For A Private Bedroom. Does That Mean I Get My Own Bathroom?
No. Our Shared Housing Program only provides the option of having a private bedroom. All other areas of the shared apartment are to be shared with your housemates.
I Already Have A Roommate Picked Out. Can I Still Use The Shared Housing Program?
Yes. If you have friends attending the same school who you want to live with, just include their names on your application and make certain that they include you on their applications as well.
What Happens After You Receive My Application?
After we receive your application, we apply our student and military-friendly credit qualifications/terms, then we review your preferences so we can find you a great place to live with roommates you’ll like to hang out with. The review process typically takes a few weeks. Once you’re approved, we’ll send information and reminders about every 45 days to help you get ready for move-in day. Please keep everything together. You’ll need it for move-in.
What is included in a furnished apartment?
Apartment configurations may vary but typically include living room, dining room and bedroom furniture, twin beds, heat and air conditioning with budgeted utility costs included, most include dishwashers and full-size appliances. All you need are the essentials – food, cookware, clothes, linens, and cleaning supplies. Apartment communities typically feature on-site laundry facilities, clubhouses, swimming pools and/or exercise facilities.
How Many People Will Live In An Apartment?
Shared student housing is provided in 2 bedroom apartments with 2-4 occupants and 3 bedroom apartments with 3-6 occupants. There are no private bathrooms.
