Lease/Pricing Options
There are many advantages of choosing to live
in the shared housing program. Most importantly, each student is on an
individual lease. You may live with other students but you will never be
responsible for extra costs if your roommate fails to pay their share. Plus,
you can transfer apartments at any time! Your monthly rental rate
conveniently includes budgeted utilities (with the exception of phone and
cable TV). Most CHS properties are located close to the school, public
transportation, and part-time job opportunities. Please look over the rental
rate information below for current pricing options.
Monthly Payment Options
Students have many options for paying rent
while in the Collegiate Housing Services program. You can pay by check,
money order, or credit card directly to your on-campus CHS Housing
Representative. Or, students can create an account and easily pay online
each month through our website. Students may also choose to have
their rental amount automatically deducted from their checking, savings or
credit card account each month. Payment directly to CHS via the
school’s Financial Aid Department is available in some markets.
Reservations/Applications
Applications
should be completed online or printed and mailed to the CHS processing
center. Please be sure to complete the housing preference section of your
application. CHS will use its best effort to place students in order of
their preference selections; however, placement and/or options in specific
communities cannot be guaranteed. New properties may be substituted to
insure housing availability and pricing may vary. If the applicant is placed
in an option not listed on the current rate sheet at the time of application
and the applicant chooses not to accept alternative placement when notified
by phone or mail, the Housing Deposit will be refunded. CHS will make every
effort to accommodate all students however, applications submitted within 30
days of requested move-in date may be wait-listed until housing availability
can be verified and the application processed. In such circumstances, please
call 1-800-U-MOVE-IN for an availability update since housing deposits
received within this time frame are non-refundable.

Monthly
pricing is based on a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment shared with 4 or
5
students, on an 9-12 month individual student lease. Included: basic
furniture package, budgeted utilities (subject to utility cap). Phone, Cable
and Internet are not included unless noted.
APPLICATIONS: Each student is responsible for a $50.00
application fee. Applications may be submitted on the CHS Website at
www.housingservices.com . The application fee is
a one-time payment and is non-refundable unless the student’s application is
denied by the College. Acceptance is subject to basic credit and criminal
background checks.
HOUSING DEPOSIT: $150 per student, minimum. Additional
deposits may be required in select cases. All deposits are due at least 30
days in advance of move-in. Deposits are refundable (less applicable damage
charges) when lease terms, rules and regulations, and a 60-day written
vacancy notice have been satisfied. In the event a student decides not to
move into CHS, the Housing deposit will be refunded only if a written notice
of cancellation is received at least 30-days prior to the original move-in
date.
